We have found wonderful friends in San Antonio - Erica e Fabricio Teixeira sao os pais do Enzo = Rafa's best friend that is in his class at Primrose School. Rafa and Enzo love to play w each other and they even look alike! Erica is expecting another baby boy:)
Melissa Barnett and David Sonetti did their internal medicine residency w me and we are neighboors! They have Alex and Melissa is expecting baby Ava who will be born at anytime now...
Holly Wyder and Derek are the parents to Sophia, also Rafa's age and really close birthdays - in fact, Rafa's first birthday was celebrated together w Sophia's first birthday at the Gymboree Gym! Rafa's first Halloween was also w Sophia - he was a little lion:)
Lucas was a zebra on his first Halloween which was celebrated w the Kemptoms (Cory and Tammy); Cory did his residency w me also. They have the cutest girl Bella (3y old) and little Kellen was just born! Bella, Alex and Rafa had swimming classes together!

November 2009 -Thanksgiving at home!

Thanksgiving was so special w Lyna, Jake, Sofia, Gaby, Rocio and grandma Ayala staying w us! Tio Victor, Monica, Richard (grandma's cousin) and claro Titia also came and we had a wonderful family time!! Rafa was in love w Sofia and wanted her to play w him the whole time!! Gaby also taught Rafa how to play hide and seek for the first time in his life!!
Since it is close to Jake's and mine's bd we also celebrated our bds!

October - Vovo Vera e Grandma Ayala came to visit!

October 2009, Vovo Vera e Gradma Ayala came to visit and take care of the boys while I went to ACR in Philadelphia x5days and papi Victor also came for the weekend to stay w me and visit his childhood friend Raul Rojas. The boys had a great time w the avuelitas!!

September 2009 was a busy month!

It was Lucas First Birthday and we took the boys to South Padre Island to the beach. It was awesome!! Mama Ayala stayed w us in a condo right at the beach and Tio York w his family stayed in another condo! We bought this huge camping tent and really enjoyed the beach! The boys loved it!! Rafa did not want to get out of the water - he was a mini fish, was not scared at all!! I also visited a clinic down in McAllen when I was there w Dr. Elvin Garcia and he took the whole family on his boat to see the dolphins!! Mama Ayala made the cutest "boat" cake personalized to Lucas!
Then when we came back we had another party for Lucas in San Antonio at the Gymboree Gym (like Rafa's) and it was great!! Lucas had a lot of fun!!

Rafa has been really cute w Lucas...he hugs and kisses Lucas and says a lot of "no Lucas" since he hears me saying that - to be careful:)

Photo at Brackenridge Park w the family:) Lucas loves to clap his hands at 11months of age - favorite song is Isty Bitsy Spider especially if sang by Rafa! Everything Rafa does baby Lucas love! I don't know what the future holds, but I trust that Our Lord will bless my boys w love and that they will love each other!!

Precious moments

I don't want to forget these precious moments...my life is beautiful and I am so blessed by my 3 boys!
1. Last Sunday Rafa and I went to HEB for groceries and he behaved really well...I gave him a balloon, he pushed the car, ate some crackers; then on the way back home in the car I told him: good job RAfa you behaved really well...he gave me the cutest smile and said: I love you mamae ---ohhh it just melted my heart!!

2. Lucas is growing so fast and at 10months he is crawling all over and standing up by himself...as soon as he sees me coming into the room he just races (crawling speed racer) to me w a big smile...is sooo cute; then if I leave his eyesight he screams...I tell Vic I would not have it any other way - meus filhos sao como colas, very sticky:)

3. Victor took RAfa outside to play soccer and came back kind of late...but his excuse was wonderful: I just wanted to spend some quality time w my son:) what a great daddy he is!!

O papai voou de asa delta qd fomos ao Rio...eu tava gravida com o Lucas; mas algum dia eu pulo!

Vovo Vera and Grandma Ayala...they both love you two so much!! And we love them too - we are sooooo blessed for having them in our lives:)

Lucas in the hospital...deu um susto na gente. Vc tava com febre alta e tachypneic, te levamos pra Emergencia do Methodist Hospital e como tava no inicio da epidemia da Swine Flu ficamos mto preocupados w vc foi internado. Acabou nao sendo nada, a blood culture tava contaminada. Vc era o paciente mais lindo e sorridente do mundo!!! As amigas da grandma Ayala vieram te visitar e orar por voce. Grandma Ayala tb veio nos ajudar e logo qd vc saiu do hospital a vovo Vera tb veio ficar com voce....quanto mimo ne?! Eu e seu pai ficamos mto preocupados - Deus seja louvado por vc ter ficado bom rapidinho!!

Meu Brasileirinho:) Lucas voce ta crescendo muito lindo! Esta sempre sorrinho.
Hoje (7/2009) voce ja ta com 10meses e crescendo rapido.
You used the little red car and pushed it along the house...it was your first official steps! You have learned to say "mama" usually complaining that I'm leaving your visual field:) Vc faz um biquinho fofo qd reclama!
You also "worship" (Our Lord forgives you for now) your big brother and even the smallest things Rafa do you love and laugh. I love you soooooo much!!

Easter Egg hunt w Tio Hebinho...Grandma Ayala was here too:)

Rafae's 2nd Birthday! It was at Minitown San Antonio, theme was Cho cho Train:) We had lots of fun!!

Tia Ana veio visitar qd a Marcela se mudou pra ca! Fomos pra Gruene, TX passear e tava tao quente q tiramos a roupa do Rafa:)

Rafael having rice cereal for the first time! Rafa was exclusively breastfed for 6months, then formula and rice cereal was added and total of 9months of breastfeeding:) It was not easy and my mom and I used to joke (not to cry) about the "vaca leiteira". I used to take the pump to the hospital. Now I'm doing the same thing for Lucas...

What a first day! Baby Lucas was in a good mood from day 1! Samia came to visit and hold him tenderly! Titia Marcela came later in the day and brought big brother Rafael! I think the second delivery and hospitalization went smoother...I was still exhausted, but probably calmer since I knew what to expect. Victor stayed w me at the hospital while Tia Marcela and Vovo Vera took care of Rafa.
